Getting Started
Our martial arts styles include several Karate derivitives including Taekwondo, Hapkido, KiMudō, (Kee-moo-dō) Karate, and specialized programs for Kids, Teens, and Adults. Whether you're a beginner or seasoned practitioner, our expert instructors cater to all skill levels, ensuring a comfortable and engaging experience.
Our Tiger Cubs program welcomes children as young as 4 years old, while our Junior and Adult programs are designed for ages 7 and up.
Class Structure and Scheduling
A typical class at Barrington Tiger Academy blends warm-ups, technique drills, sparring (when applicable), and cool-downs, all led by experienced instructors.
For optimal progress, we recommend attending classes at least 2-3 times a week, but feel free to discuss your goals with our instructors for a personalized plan. New to our academy?

Membership and Pricing
We offer flexible membership options, including Month-to-Month, 3-Month, 6-Month, and Annual memberships, as well as discounts for families and long-term commitments.

Note that some programs may require a one-time uniform purchase, and small testing fees apply for belt promotions (we'll notify you in advance).
Instructors and Safety
Meet our Instructor Team, comprised of certified, experienced martial artists passionate about teaching. We prioritize student safety through rigorous protocols, including proper warm-ups, equipment usage, and supervised sparring.
Progression and Events
Belt tests are typically held every 8-12 weeks, with our instructors guiding you through preparation and testing.
We regularly participate in local and national tournaments, host seminars, workshops, and social events; stay updated through our News & Events page.
While we encourage all students to participate in tournaments, some may have experience requirements – our instructors will help determine the best events for your skill level.
Facility and Amenities
Our state-of-the-art studio features a spacious training area, comfortable waiting lounge, and clean, well-maintained restrooms.
Family and Community
